26-year-old born and bred New Yorker Emmy Rossum is a breath of fresh air—besides being young, talented, and famous, she is graceful, poised, and (shocking in Hollywood) totally has her head on straight. This year Rossum dropped her second studio album, “Sentimental Journey,” and has a starring role on Showtime’s hit series “Shameless.” No complaints from this starlet, who loves every minute of her busy schedule. “The Thread” snagged a few minutes with Rossum to talk music, her love for old Hollywood glam, and some behind-the-scenes shenanigans from the “Shameless” set. Plus, she shares her biggest red carpet style regret: a too-heavy Ralph Lauren beaded gown that she wore to the 2005 Met Gala.
